Our Core Values
This serve as the guiding principles that shape every decision we make.
01
Individuality
Everyone has their own unique personality and needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
Voice
Everyone with a developmental disability (as well as their caregivers) deserves to have a voice heard in society.
02
03
Acceptance
Everyone with a developmental disability should be accepted and loved like everyone else in society.
04
Civil Rights
Individuals with developmental disabilities have rights that must be guaranteed and thus protected when individuals’ rights are violated.
Our Priorities
Our vision is to connect with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, to partner with individuals and organizations regarding legal rights and assistive technology, and have a nationwide advocacy presence.
Legal Rights in the realm of special education encompass various facets, essential for ensuring fair treatment and appropriate support for individuals with disabilities. These rights span self-advocacy, legislative frameworks, and pertinent legal precedents.

Self-advocacy stands as a cornerstone, empowering individuals with disabilities to articulate their needs, preferences, and rights within educational settings.

Assistive technology is an essential part of life for many individuals with a developmental disability. But, what qualifies as assistive technology?
Assistive technology is any equipment, software, or item that improves or maintains the functionality of someone with a disability. Examples of assistive technology range widely: wheelchairs, speech to text software, handheld devices, etc.
